For Barb

Spike and Dru crossover with The Mountain.
Not beta'd.
Dru gets creative.
I blame the cold medication.
No show spoilers.

"Ooh, Spike, look at all the pretty snowmen I made."

Ted looks at the pretty, thin woman dancing across the snow. He takes in blearily through the alcohol haze that delicate lace isn't the usual mode of dress for mountain sports and that the snowmen and women are all too lifelike in their drained whiteness - and horribly familiar. It's when he sees the blood dripping slowly off a long, sharp nail that he opens his mouth to scream.

Only to be interrupted by himself with longer, messier and distinctly blond hair, and most strangely of all, an English accent. "Not me, pet."

The pretty lady dripping with blood and ice starts bouncing and clapping with a joy that freaks the hell out of him, and has to be down to the Jack.

"Two Spikes, all for me." She smiles at his strange twin with the utmost joyful sincerity. "I told Miss Edith if we were very good and had a nice mass slaughter you'd come back to us and we wouldn't be all alone. You're all safe now from the bad slayer and you've come back to me!"

She reaches out to the Englishman who pulls back. The sadness and the love coming off his blond twin drips off him like melting snow.

The girl's face drops and she snatches Ted to herself. He's barely time to hear her tell him crossly. "My little Spike's been a very bad boy. You're going to be a good boy for princess."

And then all is darkness and the taste of copper before he rises in her arms out of the snow.

I prefer Good!Spike myself, but damn neat crossover! Any chance of some more? ::grins::

And I want to thank you for that heads up about the episode a few months ago. I don't watch a whole lot of TV to begin with, so I probably wouldn't have known about it at all. And while I doubt I'll watch the show regularly, it was real nice to see JM in a different role.

Though really, his character does has some amusing similarities to Spike. Hee.

Spike's still good. He just couldn't kill her - or his doppleganger - he still loves her too much. Poor boy. Boys. Dru.
Glad you liked the story:) Not at the moment. It's the Twin Peaks crossover next.
And you're welcome on the headsup for the episode. I can't wait to see it.

Dear Gawd, but you're right. It was painful to watch. I hope they paid the dear boy very well for the torture. It must have been equally tortuous to act.

See, after the writing on AtS and BtVS, it's gonna be hard all 'round.

I love, love, love Dru-lines, and this is one of the best Dru-lines in fanfic:

Thanks:) I think you'll like the Twin Peaks crossover even more. Only I need my brain fully reccuperated from the death flu before it's done as it's a complex little piece - but with Dru and the Log Lady, it should have some good lines in it.

Hee! Loved it. You know at one point I thought JM kinda slipped at little into his Spike accent. And here it really was Spike masquerading as Ted. {g}

Thanks:) Spike and Ted were there, and when Spike turned away, she decided Ted would make a good Mark 2. But I wrote it very fast, in the middle of the night and while still horribly afflicted with the cold from hell, so it might not have all come through as intended. Sorry.

Well, that was lovely! Yay Dru! I taped the episode--pure luck as I was watching a movie on that channel while cleaning my bedroom and they had an ad for JM's guest star role--still have to watch it. I figure, since I have no clue about the show, I'll just skim through till I reach him. ;)

Ooh. I just saw the clips linked from

marsters_daily, and well, what with the cold from hell I didn't really need to follow the plot, did I? Still, I like his acting.

I love his acting too, and expect to enjoy him in this terrible show too. Bless him

But the premise was just too irresistible. Glad you enjoyed it:)
